One of the great things about warmer weather is the joy of grilling. BBQ anything has always been one of my favorites. The stickier and messier they are the better they are. If it isn't finger lickin good then it's not BBQ chicken.
Hope you all enjoy, this is one of my favorites. And I usually double the recipe so that I have enough BBQ sauce to dip the chicken in too. You can never have enough BBQ sauce on your chicken. The recipe that follows is already doubled for you!
The first time I had grilled provoleta was when a missionary from Uruguay introduced it to us while staying at our house. What is grilled provoleta you may ask? It is a wedge of provolone cheese cut about 2 cm thick and grilled until melted through and a touch crispy on the outside. This is not one of those tasty treats that you leave on the grill...but it takes a watchful eye to flip it at the precise time. A touch messy on the grill but oh so worth it! A great appetizer for any meal and with the grilling season knocking at our door, I am sure you will find it unique and very tasty.
It's that time of year when everyone paints or dyes easter eggs. My family did the same. Even though none of us are kids anymore we all enjoyed painting easter eggs this easter. We used a combination of things to decorate. We painted some of them and dyed others and then we used a combination of dying and painting too. You can be very creative with them and it is a great activity for the kids too! A great way to create those lasting memories.
My mom makes the very best apple pie. Not only does she make the very best but she always makes them in large quantities and freezes them for future use. So if you like homemade pie without the work make a bunch at a time and freeze them. Use a foil pie dish and wrap tightly in plastic wrap first and then in some foil. When you are ready to use them pull it out of the freezer, and without defrosting it stick it in the oven to bake. Great for last minute guests who happen to drop by or for a night when you want a home baked pie with none of the work!
Guacamole is a perfect dish for many occasions. Great as an appetizer or just a snack. Can also accompany some tacos, burritos or any other Mexican dish you are serving up. Summer time is the best time to eat this fresh and tasty dip, but I can't wait for just summer time to delve into guacamole. I just couldn't resist making some for my super bowl party!!
There are many ways to make guacamole but the following recipe is how I make mine. This is a great snack that can be a little more on the healthy side. Even though avocados are high in calories they are rich in many other nutrients that make them worth the calories.
