Felt Board with Numbers and Shapes

These are great for preschoolers learning their shapes and numbers.  Use them for a quiet activity to keep little ones busy.  This is one of my busy bags that I keep in my car for those times when we are waiting.  I will post more about busy bags in just a bit.

Difficulty: Easy

Supplies Needed

  • 2 pieces of felt
  • 1 piece of cardboard
  • Felt pieces cut out into whichever you choose (letters, numbers, shapes etc)
  • Glue

Glue the two pieces of felt back to back with the cardboard in between.  The cardboard is not necessary but it does make it much more sturdy with it.

Cut out the small felt pices into desired shapes.

I have made a few different themes for my felt boards.

    • Numbers and shapes
    • Decorate a cupcake
    • Make a pizza
    • Road work
    • House and trees
  • I am sure there are plenty more ideas out there, these are just a few that I came up with.
This can also be a great addition to your busy bag collection.
