Fuzzy bear guessing game

As young kids my mom would always come up with creative games for us to play.  We had a lot of fun with them.  There were a few special ones that we played at bed time.  In our house bed time was a fun family time that we each looked forward to.  We either read stories together, played these games, or just talked about the day.  One of my favorite games was the fuzzy bear guessing game.  I named it that because I didn’t know what else to call it.  We had these fuzzy bears and we kept them in an old jewlery box.  You know the old kind that had a ballerina that would pop up once you opened it?  Yep…thats the one.

We would snuggle together in our jammies in bed and we would each get a turn.  We would pick out a bear and the other people had to guess which color you had picked out. We added fuzzy bunnies to the collection too. Then we had to guess if it was a bear or bunny and then guess the color.  We loved that game!  So I made it for my kids.  We only play it at bed time, when all our teeth are brushed and jammies are on.  We bought a wooden box to keep ours in and we take turns guessing the bear color.  I know it may sound silly, but the kids love it and really get into guessing!!

Difficulty: Easy

Supplies Needed

  • 1 box
  • A variety of colored bears (flocked bears)  or other trinket that could be guessed
The scribbles on the box were Ethan's attempt at writing the word "box" on our game.

Directions

The bears can be found at some craft stores.  Around me they are available at Acmoore, and Amazon. They are called miniature flocked bears.  Any kind of trinket could be used, we are just partial to the cute little bears!
