This is a fresh and tasty sandwich that my husband Jesse loves to eat for lunch. He would eat tuna everyday for lunch but after a while it does get a little boring. This slight twist gives the tuna a sweet and tangy blend.
You can also make it into a wrap and toast it. Lunch is sometimes a very boring meal, but this sandwich with some crispy potato chips or more apple slices is a great addition to any lunch.
Ingredients
- 1 can tuna
- 1 dollop of mayo
- Spices: onion salt, celery salt, cracked black pepper and salt
- chopped celery and onion
- 1 medium apple
- A few slices of sharp cheddar cheese
- English muffins
Directions
Toast English Muffin.
While muffin is toasting combine the mayo and spices to the tuna. Just a pinch of each and mix together. Dice the celery and onion and mix into the tuna as well.
Place sliced cheddar on toasted bread.
Add sliced apple and top with tuna.
Enjoy!!

Hey Jessica! I got this link through Jesse’s site- I’m looking forward to using some of your recipes!
After reading your “About Me” section, I have a book recomendation for you: “The Surprising Power of Family Meals: How eating together makes us stronger, happier, and healthier” by Miriam Weinstein. It’s all about the effects of family meals on kids- and on adults. It is fascinating.
Hope you’re doing well!
